Good Day Loves,
This past weekend my sisters and I hung out at a huge picnic/gathering for the wrap up of my big sis Kay’s B-day. Yes, it was an all week celebration. LOL…she would have it no other way. Anywho, of course I brought my Canon along for the ride and I was able to capture a few shots to share with you all simple and comfortable summer fashion options.
For my hair I rocked a week old if not longer twistout that I fluffed…fluffed…separated…and fluffed some more to create a massive yet still slightly textured fro. I figured since my hair was already semi shrunken it would hold up nicely to the summer heat and humidity. For my twistout a week earlier I used Cantu Shea Leave In and my Whipped Shea Butter. I also made sure to re-tiwst my hair at night(no re-combing) to help stretch it throughout the week.
I wore a simple yet chic outfit that allowed for style and comfort. My long light gray maxi skirt is from Target and cost $17.99 I believe. My tube top is from the Forever 21 summer sale from last year. I pieced a few pieces of jewelry together including small vintage bronzy earrings, a thick bangle with cream, blue, green, and brown accents, and a long suede rope necklace with a tarnished finish and a turquoise middle pendant. Bronze metallic sandals and a crocheted cream bag from Goodwill finish off the look. Simple “barely there” makeup..and voila…you have a summer look that is sure to be a winner.
My older sis Kay was breezy, sexy, and flirty in her selection showing off just the right amount of skin. She rocked an oversized white linen top, a pair of “Boyfriend” shorts from Forever 21, and rustic brown strappy gladiator sandals. Her look is adorned with a bronze toggle necklace and a precious turtle ring that my heart melted over. She purchased her ring from a jewelry boutique in Atlanta.
The both of us opted for our Afro’s and no fuss hair. It sure did feel good to have the wind blowing through my massive head of hair and we definitely recieved our fair share of compliments.
My sis MsVaughn arrived at the party a tad Fashionably late…but what an entry! She decided on a more sultry look by sporting her white ruffled fitted baby doll top showing off a bit of skin as well. My older sisters are sex kittens! Her gray and navy striped Maxi skirt was a great contrast and her blue belt helped make the entire look a bit more cohesive. Her bold choice of jewelry looked awesome and included large dangly earrings, a pendant necklace, and a ring made to look like wicker…all topped off with blood red lips. Loves it!!! To see more details from her look be sure to check out her latest video HERE.
We had the best time and the picnic ended up going into the night hours way after the sun had set. Me and my family definitely know how to party!!!
I hope everyone had a great weekend! Smooches*
